About the studio

Same hands. Same roads. Better name.

Formerly Timberline Visuals. Now a story-first creative studio out of Reno, shaped by design, photography, motion, and the Nevada roads between jobs.

The story

How a dog got the title

This studio started as Timberline Visuals: Tom Ackerman, a camera, design tools, and a habit of building visuals around purpose instead of decoration.

The old site said design, photo, and video. The work itself kept pushing wider: brand systems, casino campaigns, product prototypes, apparel, drone frames, web builds, and the kind of creative direction that keeps all of it pointed at one story.

Dusty Dog Studio is the rebrand that finally fits. Same hands, same eye, same Reno roots. A clearer name for work made on location, by hand, with enough craft to last past the first scroll.

We’re not an agency. No account managers, no handoffs. The person you call is the person on the ladder.

What we hold to

Three rules of the road

Show up

On time, scouted, set up before the light arrives. Half of craft is just being there when it happens.

Tell it straight

Honest scopes, honest edits, honest invoices. If you don’t need the thing, we’ll say so before you pay for it.

Craft over volume

A handful of projects at a time, finished properly. One thousand no’s for every yes.

Formerly Timberline Visuals. Currently supervised.

If we’ve worked together before under the old name — welcome back. Everything you hired then still lives here, plus a better sticker.
