The story

A clean, modern logo and a first wave of message-driven T-shirt designs for a faith-based apparel startup — built to start conversations without losing the message in overdesign.

A clean, modern logo and a first wave of message-driven T-shirt designs for a faith-based apparel startup — built to start conversations without losing the message in overdesign.

As a faith-based brand entering a crowded apparel space, the identity had to feel authentic and intentional rather than trend-chasing — direct and powerful without overdesigning the message, and appealing to both younger and more traditional buyers.

Started with a minimalist, timeless logotype clean enough to work on shirts, tags, and digital ads, then built the first wave of shirt graphics around bold typography and scripture-rooted phrases, laid out for screen printing from day one.

A confident, wearable first identity the brand could launch and build on as new designs roll out.

Deliverables

Logotype, message-driven T-shirt graphic system, and print-ready screen-print artwork.

Creative Direction

A faith-based apparel startup needed a look that felt direct and confident without tipping into overdesign — the message had to carry the weight, not the graphics around it. The direction started with a minimalist, timeless logotype clean enough to work on shirts, tags, and digital ads alike, then built outward into typography-forward shirt graphics meant to be read from across a room.

Identity System

Every shirt design layers bold typography with scripture-rooted phrases, laid out for screen printing from the first sketch — high-contrast, wearable, and scalable rather than precious. The system was built with room to grow as new designs roll out, not as a single finished collection.

Field Notes

The hardest part of a faith-based brand isn't the design, it's the restraint — saying something direct and powerful without it reading as overdesigned or performative. That's the standard every design in this system was held to.
