The landscape work gives the studio its sense of place, but it needs to support the business story instead of becoming a separate nature gallery.

Creative Direction

This collection started with a hand-me-down 35mm film camera and a lot of patience in the quiet places — roaming forests, chasing light through the trees, learning to wait for a frame instead of forcing one. That patience is still the whole method: intentional framing, soft glow, dramatic contrast, and a willingness to wait for the right five minutes of light.

The Archive

The archive spans further than any one place — Tahoe, Yosemite, Zion, Banff, Grand Teton, Glacier, and the high desert closer to home. What ties it together isn't geography, it's the same habit: get out before the light is good, and stay until after it's gone.

Field Notes

Most of these frames exist because of a hike that started before sunrise, not because of a shot list. That's still the standard this collection is held to.
